At the end of a busy and hugely enjoyable day Jane’s expert tuition had taken us through what oxides can do and a variety of ways to use them in our pottery. Not just for Janes expert and patient pottery tuition, but she’d also gone over and above, taking the trouble to arrange morning stretch classes for anyone who wanted to join in, a very interesting hike with a foraging expert, visits and workshops with other local potters, a trip to the stunning Alhambra palace and a flamenco show. The hotel was superb and Capileira is just beautiful, I can see why anyone would want to create a base there and Jane and her partner Ivan are clearly proud to share it.
Jane and Ivan are fantastic hosts who make you feel that nothing is too much trouble.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My daughter and I traveled from the US to attend Jane’s recent pottery retreat in Spain, in the mountains near Granada. We enjoyed it thoroughly! We especially loved meeting the other members of our group, and staying in the spectacular setting of the village of Capileira. Jane led us in a workshop making tapa dishes, and we learned about local glazes with the help of Emily Pranger, a local potter. Later that week we toured Emily’s studio, including seeing her father’s beautiful  collection of historic Spanish pottery. We also attended an interesting tile making  workshop at an amazing tile making business nearby. Jane also organized a one day visit for all of us to the Alhambra in Granada. I would highly recommend this experience to all levels of potters, or anyone who wants to explore this craft, and to those interested in this beautiful area of Spain. Jane is a wonderful host and teacher and the experience was unforgettable.
